Foreign Languages Club
The activities of the Foreign Languages Club of Volga Foundation are focused on exploring the culture and traditions of different countries. The club provides an opportunity to practice language with native speakers and meet interesting people. We also organize movie shows in their original language, as well as literature and poetry evenings. All this helps to deepen the knowledge of a foreign language and opens a new world of communication. The club organizes international exchange programs during summer vacation. Meeting and socializing with peers from other countries is excellent way to learn the culture of other countries, expand your horizons and make new friends.
In 2011 we had shown movies in French, German, Spanish, carried out Latin American poetry evening and meeting with representatives of embassies, had a walk to the German Christmas market. In May we organized a foreign song competition for pupils with prizes and gifts, which brought lots of positive emotions to participants. During the summer holidays within the international exchange club program we organized meetings with Austrian students who study the Russian language in Vienna. Evenings dedicated to the traditions and cuisine of France, Austria and Spain were also extremely popular. In the end of 2011 the Club held celebrations of Christmas and New Year, prepared by the French group of the Club. More than a hundred girls and women took part in Club events.
